My trip to Mumbai

I attended my uncles's daughter's marriage here in mumbai, it was held in the BPCL club in Chembur,Mumbai. it was spacious. and yesterday i went for a morning walk from Vasanth Vihar,Thane to the Sanjay ghandhi Park near the Pokhran Lake. the climb was steep after entering the Park. many people of all ages were climbing the steep metalled road. even buses are plying through the park. i got a good view of the nearby bigger hill. what surprised me was that , about half way to the hill was covered with padas, or local dwelling units. it appears that the local people are forced to creat hutments on the slopes of the hills because they have been uprooted from their earlier dwellings by the builders and developers. i heard from my uncle that leopards escaping from the near by park are eating children from the padas. and this is happening at regular intervals. probably this is h appening due to the encroachments of people into the forests.
